What Customers Say About Top 100 Baby Purees: 100 Quick and Easy Meals for a Healthy and Happy Baby:

Making baby food seems easy - steam and puree. On my own, I could probably come up with 20 ideas, but this book has 100 viable ideas for what to feed your baby. It's a great book to find inspiration as well as education on what to feed baby.

I have gone in my own direction, but needed the guidence to get started. I got this so I could make my grandsons food and have been doing just that. The book got me started and gave a lot of good information. Everyone should make their own food for little ones. Why would you want them to have all those preservatives.

This book is not what I had expected at all. It has "big people" food recipes that you make w/o all the seasoning. I was hoping that it would list the foods in stages as your baby grows as well as a few recipes on what to feed them from stage 1 and up. IT gave me two beginner recipes (carrots and bears) and the rest are for much older babies, more toddler age. I'm sure it will come mre handy when my son's eating normal food but right now, it's useless and collecting dust. I had better luck finding recipes online.

From the first moment I made the purees and fed them to my baby, he wanted more and more. I tried the usual puree of sweet potato, carrots, peas, etc. My cousin's wife recommended this book and gave it to me as a gift. He never made a face and was always very happy with each bite.

His favorite was the Spaguetti Bolognese that she still makes till this day (He is almost 3 years old). I was always interested in making my own babyfood, but was a little worried as to what to start first and what to mix with etc. Every week I would make 2-3 different purees and freeze them in ice cubes (for portion control). I provided our day care provider with food cubes of the pureed food and she was very curious to know what was it that smelled so good and that my happy baby was very much enjoying. when my baby started eating solids, and as soon as I could mix them together, I started working from this book.

One of his favorite was the Chicken, Sweet Potato and Apple, Spaguetti Bolognese (which I made with pasta stars), Squash and Pear, Mango and Strawberry, you name it. I gave her the book as a Christmas present and she has started doing this with her other kids. She raved about how much variety her son ate and still eats. He would not get enough. The purees do include several other items besides the usual staple items (onions, leeks, garlic, etc).

Making the food did take some time, but I love cooking and I didnt care. I did stay away from the Scrambled Eggs and fish recipes because of the food allergy risk. The results i have seen on my baby are totally worth any cooking time spent preparing these.

(Babies can't eat store bought broth). This book has beautiful pictures and seemingly great recipes. The only problem is, most recipes require you to make homemade stock. I love to cook, but boiling a chicken carcass every time I want to cook for my baby is not ideal. Some of these recipes are very labor intensive.
